Speaker Johnson's suggestion that President Zelenskyy should resign rather than continue defending Ukraine's sovereignty is deeply troubling. Ukraine is valiantly fighting against an unprovoked invasion by Russia, and its democratically elected leader should be supported, not undermined. Calls for Zelenskyy's resignation risk destabilizing Ukraine further and emboldening Putin's aggression. I urge you to forcefully reject such misguided rhetoric and reaffirm the United States' commitment to Ukraine's territorial integrity and right to self-determination. We must stand firmly alongside our Ukrainian partners in their struggle for freedom against Russia's illegal war of conquest.
