I'm calling on you to begin impeachment proceedings against President Trump immediately. His actions since taking office constitute a clear pattern of constitutional violations that demand congressional action.
On January 3, 2026, Trump ordered a large-scale military attack on Venezuela without congressional authorization, bombing multiple locations around Caracas and killing civilians. This directly violates Article I, Section 8, which grants Congress alone the power to declare war. He has also defied multiple court orders, including Supreme Court rulings on foreign aid and deportations, and unlawfully terminated 17 inspectors general to eliminate oversight of his administration.
Trump stripped birthright citizenship from U.S.-born citizens through executive order, detained hundreds without due process while moving them between states to evade courts, and deployed 2,000 National Guard troops against civilian protesters in California without the governor's consent. He pardoned over 1,500 January 6 insurrectionists, including 400 charged with violent crimes against law enforcement, and arranged a corrupt quid pro quo with NYC Mayor Eric Adams to dismiss criminal charges in exchange for cooperation on immigration enforcement.
The Constitution provides impeachment precisely for this situation. These aren't policy disagreements. They're violations of the separation of powers and abuse of presidential authority. Congress must act now to hold Trump accountable.
