Please reject the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act! (H.R. 22/S.128) This is so harmful to our democracy and it is a threat to the freedom to vote for all Americans! It will deny millions of eligible voters access to the ballot simply because they lack the necessary paperwork to satisfy it’s extreme documentation requirements. The SAVE Act will also effectively eliminate mail voter registration and upend online registration, defeating the purpose of this more accessible approach for Americans who may need need these methods. The SAVE Act will mandate harmful voter purges, replicate proven failures of past similar legislation that has proven unsuccessful, and it will undermine nonpartisan election workers who are true patriots of our country by imprisoning them and subjecting them to growing harassment! The SAVE Act will disenfranchise women and minorities and is wrong on so many levels! You must take a stand to stop this if you are a decent human being! If you do not, the American people will remember how our elected officials will vote for this Act when it comes time for primaries and we will not forget your choices!
