Published reports indicate the 23-member Maternal Mortality and Morbidity Review Committee will not investigate maternal deaths that happened in 2022 and 2023. This is as important a two-year period as there’s ever been to document. Please use the power of your office to immediately insist the review committee reconsider and add 2022 and 2023 to their full review. It is imperative to the people of Texas that this review include the latest information available. Anything less is disgraceful. I would also encourage you to speak publicly about the importance of the committee to include the latest data available. Thank you for your consideration and I look forward to your response.
