Stop The Befouling Of ALL Our Sensitive Earthly Habitats and Landscapes! The recent proclamation targeting Papahānaumokuākea, along with other Pacific marine monuments, demands immediate attention. Despite ongoing advocacy, the threat to these crucial areas persists under President Trump’s actions. Papahānaumokuākea holds immense cultural and ecological significance and should remain protected from industrial exploitation. It is imperative that Hawaiʻi’s federal representatives lead a unified front to safeguard these waters. Please urge Senators Schatz and Hirono, along with Representatives Case and Tokuda, to issue a joint statement against the proclamation, advocate for the preservation of existing protections with Commerce and NOAA, oppose House Bill 8904, and champion legislation that reinforces the protection of our marine national monuments. Let us affirm that these sacred waters are not targets for commercial fishing.
