I am urgently contacting you to vote against Trump’s Budget Bill specifically due to the cuts to Medicaid. The stereotype about who uses Medicaid is inaccurate. The Budget Bill would drastically hurt the most vulnerable people in Kansas. Infants & children, the disabled, and the elderly all could be without care. Their suffering is preventable!! In addition a very large amount of rural hospitals and nursing homes will be forced to close. Your constituents will have to go further to get lifesaving medical care. Jobs will be lost, buildings will be vacant, & towns will decline. The rural communities that surround the agribusiness that Kansas is proud of shouldn’t be punished. The baby born with spina bifida in Great Bend or child diagnosed with leukemia in Ellis shouldn’t be punished. A grandmother with Alzheimer’s in a Richmond nursing home shouldn’t be punished either. REAL Kansans benefit from Medicaid. Please vote NO on the Budget Bill that drastically cuts Medicaid. Kansans need Medicaid & need you to vote no on the bill.
