Regarding Trumps War in Iran, your ‘reply’ email did NOT answer my questions. Let us first revisit some of your recent statements: “I think President Trump is the peace president, and I trust him to work something out.” – 1 February 2026. “He is the peace president. That is his North Star.” – 6 November 2025. It’s pretty clear that YOUR own statements were in support of a president who was a PEACE president. How quickly you changed. To remind you, my questions were 1. What are the objectives of this war? 2. What exactly is the mission? On 12 March 2026, the president said, “we won” the war in Iran. Numerous other statements have been made, I sent them via email a few days ago – all indicate we “need $200BILLION” and “may need boots on the ground”. That doesn’t sound like we ‘won’. Your pathetic attempt to reply stated in part, “On Saturday, February 28, 2026, the United States began a large-scale military operation against Iran. Since the fighting began, President Trump and Secretary of War Pete Hegseth have stated clear military objectives: the U.S. military will 1. deny Iran’s ability to obtain a nuclear weapon and to 2. continue wielding capabilities and influence that threaten Americans and our interests.” I added the numbers. WHAT? What EXACTLY does “wielding capabilities and influence” mean to the military members carrying out attacks – explain this objective to a service member preparing to launch missles. This is not an objective and you know it – this is a subjective statement by someone who has never served in the military – this order cannot be executed. It means nothing – please see my original questions. That’s a mealy mouth answer and you know it. You also stated, “President Trump has successfully utilized America’s military capabilities in a limited capacity to achieve clearly defined, limited strategic objectives. Positive outcomes in these instances have reduced threats to Americans.” SO – this statement means MISSION ACCOMPLISHED. We have “utilized” and achieved those “strategic objectives”. This statement clearly says we are done – but see above – other statements contradict this. Does anyone really know? As a member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, you should know and should be able to clearly articulate in less than 2 minutes the objectives and strategy. You should ALSO know when mission is accomplished. There have been AT LEAST 10 rationales stated by this administration for this war – you should know that as a member of this committee. Yet ONLY ONE of these rationales appear in your reply. I expect an answer to my questions at the top of this email. You reply was a fail – I deserve better.
