As the dismantling continues, we continue to see the stock market in a volatile swing as tariffs are threatened and then rescinded and then threatened again creating a wildly unstable economy and stock market. And yet Congress has the ability to stop the insanity! Why don’t you?! It appears the President may have backed off his big beautiful tariffs only when seeing how it was impacting US Treasury bonds that help to finance our government! Why don’t you speak up! Congress has the ability to take back their own authority to both review and authorize tariffs! Why don’t you?! The President can only implement tariffs under an emergency act which Congress has the ability to revoke! Why don’t you?!! Doge continues to dismantle everything in federal government! The National Endowment of Humanities is now cancelled which was a tiny percentage of the budget! That’s not about fraud, waste and abuse! The Park Rangers were fired by Doge! That’s a tiny percentage of the budget! Again not about fraud, waste and abuse! FEMA was gutted! Seriously in a state that deals with tornadoes every other day that is beyond awful! Do you really think gutting FEMA was about fraud, waste and abuse! You have to know better! Gutting the National Health Institute that has given us life saving research and treatments for cancer, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s. … isn’t about fraud, waste and abuse. That’s a tiny percentage of the budget! Getting rid of IG’s whose job is to ferret out fraud, waste and abuse was not about ending fraud, waste and abuse but allowing corruption to go unchecked. That’s obvious! Busting unions and gutting the ability for employees to grieve is about stripping employees of bargaining rights. You know this! Getting rid of every check and balance in our system isn’t about getting rid of fraud, waste and abuse. It’s about allowing the executive branch to have unlimited and unchecked power. You know this too! Our country and our democracy are getting destroyed. Instead of doing your job, you allow it to happen! Now the SAVE act will disenfranchise voters. Only 50% of the population have passports which would be one way of verifying identity. Birth certificates would be required- something most of us don’t carry around. This a blatant voter suppression act! Please don’t bother to tell us otherwise! You know this! Our current election system has multiple layers and to be eligible to vote one has to be a citizen. Audit after endless audit has found only extremely rare instances of fraud! That’s fact! Please stop spreading the propaganda that leads people to think otherwise! This SAVE ACT is about voter suppression. You know this! So far you have failed us repeatedly! We didn’t vote for this Senator! Do your job!
