I am writing to you with the utmost urgency and alarm. As a constituent and a concerned citizen, I demand that Congress take immediate action to impeach the President of the United States for unilaterally and unlawfully engaging in acts of war against Iran.
This president has flagrantly violated both the War Powers Resolution and the U.S. Constitution by ordering military aggression without congressional authorization. The recent escalation with Iran—initiated through unilateral airstrikes and military posturing—represents not only a reckless abuse of executive power but a direct threat to global stability and American lives. It is a clear and dangerous overreach of authority.
No president, regardless of party, has the right to plunge our nation into war without the consent of the American people through their elected representatives. The framers of the Constitution gave Congress—not the President—the sole power to declare war. By bypassing this requirement, the President has usurped your authority and broken the law.
These actions not only violate the War Powers Act but also recklessly endanger our military personnel, inflame global tensions, and set a horrifying precedent that any future executive may unilaterally wage war without legal or moral accountability. This is not leadership—it is authoritarianism.
It is no longer enough to issue statements of concern or toothless condemnations. Words will not stop the bombs or reverse the erosion of our democratic checks and balances. Congress must exercise its constitutional duty and immediately initiate impeachment proceedings for this illegal act of war.
The American people are watching. The world is watching. History will remember what you did at this moment—whether you stood up to defend the rule of law and democratic governance, or whether you enabled its further decay through silence or inaction.
I urge you to act with courage and conviction. Impeach this president now.
