Support ICJ ruling and take firm action against Israeli genocide

The International Court of Justice (ICJ) has ruled that Israel must take urgent measures to prevent and punish incitement to genocide in its ongoing war on Gaza. With staggering casualties, including over 40,000 Gazans killed, 94,000 wounded, and 10,000 missing, this ruling underscores the severity of the situation. South Africa has rightfully brought this case to the ICJ, accusing Israel of violating the Genocide Convention. However, Israel is now lobbying the US Congress to pressure South Africa to drop the case, threatening consequences if they do not comply. This obstructionist tactic cannot be tolerated. The United States should resolutely support international law and human rights by backing the ICJ case and the International Criminal Court's arrest warrant against Netanyahu. Reinstating funding to UNRWA, the UN agency aiding Palestinian refugees, and imposing an arms embargo on Israel would further demonstrate a commitment to justice and accountability. Allowing this genocide to continue unchecked would be a stain on the global conscience. For the sake of the international law and justice, firm action urgently needed.
