I am writing to warn you about the upcoming report on 4/20/2025 that is to be brought to Donald Trump by the DOD and DHS based on Executive Order 14159, “Protecting the American People Against Invasion” he signed on 1/20/2025 citing a “national emergency at the southern border” And whether he should invoke the Insurrection Act. The Insurrection Act gives the president the authority to deploy the U.S. military on American soil. This means troops in our cities. This means bypassing Congress and our governors. This means suspending protest rights. This is extraordinarily dangerous, especially with this president. Please take this threat seriously and act accordingly. Please open an investigation on this EO and urge other congresspeople to do the same. Thank you!
