Do not cut programs that support South Dakotans

To: Rep. Johnson, Sen. Thune, Sen. Rounds

From: A constituent in Vermillion, SD

April 30

As your constituent, I urge you to oppose the proposed cuts to Medicaid and other vital programs that would adversely impact the well-being of South Dakotans. These funding reductions threaten to strip away essential healthcare coverage and critical services that countless families rely upon. Such draconian measures place an undue burden on our state's most vulnerable populations, including children, seniors, and individuals with disabilities. Instead of endangering their access to necessary care, we should be working towards strengthening and expanding the social safety net. Prioritize the needs of your constituents over partisan politics and fiscally irresponsible policies that jeopardize our community's health and financial security. Reconsider this harmful approach and protect the programs that uplift and support all South Dakotans.
