H1B visa and Texas

To: Lt. Gov. Patrick, Sen. Creighton, Rep. Toth, Gov. Abbott

From: A constituent in Spring, TX

August 8

Hello Texas officials, The H1B visa program has reached a critical point in the national debate. I wanted to voice my thoughts and concerns to my officials. As someone who has lived in Texas for 18 years, I have seen the composition of Texas radically change, especially in Austin and the DFW area. The change has introduced many upstanding citizens, but mostly seems to bring in incompatible 3rd worlders. The primary cause of this is the H1B visa program which is exploited, along with other exploited visas such as the U/T and H3B visa program. Texans are seeing radical change because companies (especially tech companies) use the h1b visa program to exploit foreign workers and undercut Americans. There is currently a hiring crisis for new college graduates and 10% of Gen Z has been unemployed for over a decade. I believe we need to put Texans and Americans first and end these programs. Texans should be employed before foreigners and these companies should be punished for damaging American citizens opportunities and future by hiring abroad. Housing costs, strain on the electrical grid, traffic can be reduced by canceling the h1b visa program and making it hard for them to operate in Texas. I am calling in my representatives to take action on the issue, make public statements and enact laws to put Texans first
