As an American citizen, I demand to know why Elon Musk is seeking access to Fort Knox’s gold reserves. There must be more Congressional oversight of DOGE's activities. All Americans need to know why this access is being afforded as Fort Knox gold reserves already undergo annual audits. DOGE involvement is entirely unnecessary. It is my understanding that they are proceeding regardless, as they have recklessly done across other government agencies. This access should be completely denied, just as access to private citizen data should have been denied. We have already seen the head of Social Security step down after being bullied by DOGE. King attempted to do right by protecting us - the voting public - and Musk was allowed unprecedented, unnecessary access. He must be held accountable. Both parties must limit Musk's power before further damage is done. The cowardice in the House and Senate is appalling. At a bare minimum, oversight by representatives from both political parties must be ensured if DOGE interference occurs at Fort Knox. I urge you, in the strongest possible terms, to use your position as an elected official (unlike Musk) to resist DOGE's authoritarian overstepping and dismantling of our democracy.
