After listening to portions of your latest podcast I’m writing to confirm that I will not be voting for you should you choose to run for President in 2028. Your comments on trans athletes on your first podcast episode are appalling and only help to push the agenda of Republicans who have effectively managed to demonize trans people. From a recent New York Times Athlete article, NCAA President Charlie Baker said “he believed there were fewer than 10 transgender athletes among the 510,000 competing at schools.” If that number is accurate, that's .001% of all athletes competing at a college level. Now consider your argument on “fairness” in sports. Are these trans athletes competing at such a high level as to dominate in the sport? Are they so good they’re being immediately drafted into the NBA? They may have a physical advantage, but so did Shaquille O’Neil and Kareem Abdul Jabbar. There will always be an athlete that has practiced more, trained in the gym longer, and reached for greater heights than the rest. Sports are where the best of the best can compete and overcome the odds. Trans people, regardless of the league they are categorized into, should be allowed to compete as true athletes. Bringing on Charlie Kirk as your first podcast guest was a mistake. Kirk, a major right-wing supporter of Trump’s 2025 agenda, once called trans people “a throbbing middle finger to God” and “an abomination.” Why didn’t you call him out on his stance and attempt to counter him at all? The important thing to note is the great photo of you shaking hands with Kirk, who actively denied the election results in 2020 and bussed people into our nation's capital so they could move forward with an insurrection. By all means, keep swinging to the right, but please leave the Democrat label to others who are more willing to represent the working classes of California and the fight against MAGA Republicans.
