Reject No Rogue Rulings Act, protect judicial oversight

To: Sen. Murray, Rep. DelBene, Sen. Cantwell

From: A verified voter in Kirkland, WA

April 18

The No Rogue Rulings Act of 2025 would severely undermine the authority of federal courts to issue injunctions against unconstitutional or illegal actions by the executive branch. This represents a dangerous erosion of the system of checks and balances enshrined in our Constitution. By stripping district courts of their ability to halt harmful policies through injunctive relief, the bill would remove a crucial mechanism for holding the government accountable and protecting the rights of citizens. Without this judicial oversight, there is an increased risk of unchecked executive overreach and violations of civil liberties. Preserving the judiciary's power to serve as a check on the other branches is vital for safeguarding our democratic system of government. I urge you to reject this bill and instead uphold the separation of powers principle that has preserved our democracy for over two centuries.
