Vote NO on the SAVE Act

To: Rep. Amodei

From: A verified voter in Reno, NV

April 9, 2025

As one of your constituents, I am urging you to vote NO on HR 22, the so-called SAVE Act. I am a lifelong, fifth-generation resident of Nevada, a disabled veteran, and a married woman who took her husband's name. Under the SAVE act, I would fi nd it not only more difficult to register to vote, but potentially impossible. Having to gather together birth certificate, marriage certificate, divorce decree, and all other documents proving my name would be costly and time-consuming. For poorer Nevada residents, the cost could mean the difference between feeding their children or not. This is nothing more than an attempt to block marr ied women and anyone with a name change from voting. There are already sufficient combinations of documents to prove citizenship. I have earned my right to vote. I don't deserve to have it removed due to un necessary bureaucracy and government overreach.
