Fund healthcare, not the Iran war

To: Rep. Van Duyne, Sen. Cruz, Sen. Cornyn

From: A constituent in Dallas, TX

March 31

I am writing to express my outrage at this Republican administration’s plan to cut healthcare for Americans in order to fund its illegal and needless war with Iran. How many US troops will die in a ground assault on Iranian territory? How many American civilians will die because they lost their health coverage? This administration is spending $1 billion per day to attack Iran. That is not sustainable. Why is that money not being spent to expand healthcare in the US? This country does not need another war in the Middle East. It desperately needs affordable healthcare for its citizens. Congress has the power to put an end to this. My wife and I urge you and your colleagues to cut funding for the war with Iran and fund healthcare. Please save American lives abroad and at home.
