This is about our current Section 8 and creating a new section 8 Mortgage Assistance department program that helps those who fall in need of same services. Simple all the way around. A homeowner signs one agreement authorizing monthly payments toward mortgage (if one is owed) . The housing authority recovers a set percentage of the sale price at closing. Section 8 should not be a profit gaining business like it has turned into ; it’s intolerable to take tax funds and pad pockets for financial gains rather then all money to be used for housing itself. This system recoops.
