The continued U.S. military aid to Israel enables the unfolding humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza. My tax dollars are being used to support actions that credible U.N. reports describe as a deliberate starvation campaign, leading to widespread malnutrition and child deaths. This systematic assault on Palestinian food sovereignty and apparent crimes against humanity violate international law and human rights norms that the U.S. purports to uphold. I urge an immediate suspension of military assistance until there is accountability for these violations and a diplomatic resolution respecting Palestinian self-determination. Using my taxes to fund such grievous offenses against civilians is unconscionable.
