I work for a bank. I am a Senior Vice President and help people every day through lending. I work alongside smart, experienced professionals, many of whom have supported Republican candidates in the past. But things have changed.
Last week, one of our owners announced he was a Republican but admitted he had no idea what this administration is doing. Confidence is gone. No one in leadership can defend the chaos we’re watching unfold. The only person at our bank still supporting Trump is a lender who has made openly racist remarks in the past. That should say everything.
Your base is waking up. The people who work in business, banking, and finance — who value stability, rule of law, and real leadership — are seeing clearly now. Trump is not a leader. He is a figurehead surrounded by people who seek chaos, cruelty, and control. Stephen Miller is not interested in law and order. He wants obedience and fear. The rest of us see through it.
The bank I work for does not want chaos. It does not want to be governed by extremists or manipulated by foreign powers. It does not want to be part of a government that ignores the Constitution.
I have been quiet at work because I do not believe in sowing division. But silence only serves the aggressor. That time is over.
If you continue to stand by and enable Trump and those who share his vision, then you are no better. You are complicit. You are choosing fear over freedom, power over principle. And you do not deserve to lead.
Stand up to Trump. Stand up to Stephen Miller. Stand up for the people you were elected to serve. Or step aside and make room for someone who will.
