I am writing to you as a concerned constituent regarding credible allegations of inappropriate behavior by former President Donald Trump involving contestants in beauty pageants he owned or managed. These allegations are supported by multiple first-hand accounts and even statements made by Mr. Trump himself.
Tasha Dixon (Miss Arizona 2001) publicly stated that Trump entered the Miss USA dressing room while contestants were naked or partially dressed, describing the situation as “shocking” and “unacceptable.”
Mariana Jantti (Miss Vermont Teen USA 1997) reported to BuzzFeed News that Trump walked in on underage contestants changing, recalling that some girls were topless.
Victoria Hughes (Miss New Mexico Teen USA 1997) corroborated similar incidents and said contestants were “hustling to cover up” when Trump appeared unannounced.
In a 2005 Howard Stern interview, Trump himself said he would “go backstage” and “inspect” contestants while they were changing because as the owner he could “get away with things like that.”
These reports suggest a troubling pattern of behavior, including incidents involving minors, and deserve to be investigated to determine if laws were violated and to hold powerful individuals accountable for any abuses of authority.
I urge you to call for congressional inquiries into these allegations and to ensure that no one is above scrutiny when it comes to protecting women and minors from exploitation.
