Greetings Representative Dorazio and I do hope my message finds you well, Published reports today indicate the Texas Senate passed a bill Tuesday night allowing public funds to be spent on private education savings accounts. This is counter to the very notion of justice and equity here in Texas. Such spending will drive up Texas sales and property taxes. The bill is bad for taxpayers and radically antithetical to the very idea of public schooling. Please oppose this measure and speak out publicly against it. I would encourage you to use the full power of your office to voice your concerns and alert all Texans to the potential tax increases that will be necessary to fund the program. Furthermore, please vote ‘no’ should it come to a vote in the House. Thank you for all you do for Texans and I do look forward to your response, good day.
