The New York Health Act would revolutionize healthcare in our state by providing comprehensive coverage including primary care, specialty care, vision, dental, hearing, mental health, reproductive care, substance abuse treatment, maternal care, prescription drugs, and long-term care. This all-encompassing approach ensures that no aspect of a person's health is left unaddressed. One of the most significant benefits of this act is the elimination of financial barriers to healthcare. By removing health insurance premiums, co-pays, deductibles, and prescription costs, we can ensure that no New Yorker has to choose between their health and financial stability. Additionally, the act would grant patients the freedom to choose their doctors and hospitals without network restrictions, putting healthcare decisions back in the hands of individuals and their healthcare providers.
