These issues reflect the hopes of countless Americans counting on your leadership to move our country forward in a just, equitable, and sustainable way. Economic revitalization is crucial. A targeted stimulus package for small businesses in underserved communities could create jobs where they’re needed most. Coupling this with an infrastructure plan centered on clean energy and public transportation would foster lasting growth. Social and racial justice is vital. Comprehensive police reform, including a national database for misconduct, de-escalation training, and independent oversight, can rebuild trust. Protecting voting rights through reauthorizing the Voting Rights Act, making Election Day a holiday, and expanding mail-in voting access would strengthen our democracy. Your commitment to healthcare access is deeply respected. Establishing a public option would move us closer to universal healthcare. Addressing the opioid crisis with expanded funding for addiction treatment and harm reduction could save lives. Your advocacy for women’s rights is inspiring. Ensuring federal protections for reproductive rights, expanding access to birth control, and strengthening equal pay laws would advance gender equality.
