Support hospitals and protect critical access to 24/7 care!
I am an angry constituent and supporter of the Coalition to Strengthen America's Healthcare, a community of more than two million advocates committed to protecting patient care.
Hospitals and health systems provide 24/7 access to critical, emergency care that millions of Americans rely on. When other sites of care are closed, hospitals remain open around-the-clock, providing life-saving services. In many rural communities, hospitals are the only sites of local care. These hospitals face challenges to remain open and continue providing specialty services, such as maternal health and mental health services.
Impending cuts to Medicare and Medicaid, legislative policies that weaken access to care, and incoming decisions around the federal budget put hospitals and the critical 24/7 care they provide at risk. American families deserve certainty that their healthcare will be there for them when they need it.
Cuts to hospital care would both harm the Americans who rely on this care most and weaken our entire healthcare system. Hospitals would face an increased risk of closure, emergency rooms would become overcrowded, and patients may wait for their health to worsen before seeking care.
The Coalition remains deeply committed to strengthening patient access to 24/7, life-saving care — a cause we’ve championed for over 20 years. On behalf of the Coalition, we urge you to protect patients, hospitals, and the communities you serve!
