I write you today as a concerned citizen and a firm believer in the America First movement—one that you have come to represent with clarity and conviction. You have always stood out as a voice for the forgotten Americans, especially those in the heartland who have been left behind by decades of elite mismanagement and globalist indifference. It’s in that spirit that I feel obligated to raise urgent concerns about two critical fault lines in our current policy direction—ones that threaten to demoralize the movement and betray the very voters who put you and President Trump in office. First, the rising pressure to soften immigration enforcement—especially in response to unrest from anti-ICE agitators and lobbying from agribusiness, hospitality, and tech interests—must be resisted. These riots are not about justice or reform; they are about dismantling the rule of law and erasing the meaning of citizenship itself. Capitulating to corporate interests demanding cheap foreign labor would not be viewed as pragmatism by your supporters—it would be seen as a capitulation to the very forces the America First movement rose to oppose. We must not forget: supporting national borders is not an act of hate. It is a matter of sovereignty, of protecting American workers and communities from demographic and economic displacement. To reduce immigration enforcement is to reward lawlessness and perpetuate the kind of race-to-the-bottom labor market that has hollowed out entire regions of this country. Second, there is growing concern over the administration’s deal with China—trading access to critical rare earth elements for an expanded inflow of Chinese students. While resource security is important, we cannot ignore the long-term consequences. These student exchanges have frequently served as vehicles for espionage, technology theft, and ideological subversion. At a time when we must be disentangling ourselves from the CCP’s grip, this deal appears to move us in the opposite direction: toward greater dependency and greater vulnerability. The American people—especially the working class who have paid the price for globalization—expect strength, not appeasement. They expect decoupling, not backroom arrangements that open the floodgates to further foreign influence. This is not just about policy. It’s about trust. If we abandon the core principles of the movement—secure borders, national self-reliance, and unapologetic sovereignty—we risk not only political failure, but a betrayal of the millions who dared to hope for something better. You have always spoken with authenticity about the costs of elite betrayal. Now is the time to show, once again, that you understand those costs—and will not allow them to be paid again by those least able to bear them.
