Selling off our national public lands is an attack on the American people. H.R. 1, now in the Senate, includes provisions to do exactly that. Under no circumstance should this be allowed to move forward. These lands do not belong to the federal government. They do not belong to corporations. They belong to us—the people. We will not sit back and allow this theft to happen. The fact that this is even under consideration is disgraceful. This is not a budgetary issue. This is not about streamlining. This is a hostile land grab, and the American public does not consent. If you support this bill, you are siding against your constituents. There is no middle ground here. Make this absolutely clear in the Senate: public lands are not for sale. Vote NO on H.R. 1. Strip out any provision that authorizes land sales.
