While he was never elected to public office, he wields an extraordinary amount of power over our government, industries, and even the national discourse. His influence extends far beyond that of a private citizen, and it is time for Congress to take a stand. You have spoken about draining the swamp—well, Musk represents one of the biggest examples of corporate overreach and political interference that we have seen. He benefits from billions in government contracts and subsidies while openly undermining democratic institutions and threatening those who challenge him. If he attempts to use his wealth and influence to pressure lawmakers, it is time to respond with real action. I urge you to take a firm stand: 1. Review and reconsider all federal subsidies, contracts, and tax breaks given to his companies, ensuring they are truly in the best interest of the American people. 2. Launch investigations into the business practices of Tesla, SpaceX, X (formerly Twitter), and other Musk-owned entities to ensure transparency, accountability, and legal compliance. 3. Push back against political threats from billionaires who believe they can buy and manipulate our democratic system. No individual, no matter how wealthy, should be above scrutiny or consequences. Additionally, I am concerned about the actions of the president. If the president threatens Congress or attempts to exert undue influence over the legislative branch, he should be reminded that his authority is not absolute. Congress has the power to hold the executive accountable through the 25th Amendment or impeachment if necessary. I do not believe that you or many others in your party like what you are seeing. Now is the time for Republicans to take a stand for democracy—before it is gone. Americans deserve a government that represents them—not one that bows to the interests of a single billionaire or an unchecked executive branch. I urge you to take action before it is too late.
