Oppose Book Banning Legislation

To: Sen. Bennet, Sen. Hickenlooper

From: A verified voter in Denver, CO

May 21

Vote no on this book ban. Pulling books from library shelves isn't protecting anyone — it's the government deciding what ideas citizens are allowed to encounter. That's a line we shouldn't cross, and I expect you to hold it. Libraries exist to expand minds, not to reflect the comfort level of whoever holds political power this year. Every book removed is a reader denied access to a perspective, a history, or a story that might have mattered to them. I'll be watching this vote closely, and I'll remember how you stand on it.
