I urge you to protect legal services for vulnerable children. For nearly two decades, unaccompanied children were represented by a network of experienced legal service providers. But as of July 31, 2026, the administration ended the network’s contract. Taking away legal services puts children’s safety, rights, and futures at risk (https://www.latimes.com/california/story/2026-07-29/24-000-migrant-children-could-lose-legal-representation-as-contract-is-set-to-expire). Please conduct oversight of HHS to ensure children’s due process rights are protected.
