Vote NO on Todd Blanche: Stop the Epstein File Cover-Up

To: Rep. Beatty, Sen. Husted, Sen. Moreno

From: A verified voter in Columbus, OH

July 7

I am writing to urge you to vote NO on the confirmation of Todd Blanche for Attorney General. Before taking this role, Mr. Blanche was Donald Trump’s personal criminal defense attorney. His actions prove he is still acting like a private lawyer shielding powerful insiders instead of defending the public's right to know.  Just days ago, a federal judge ruled that Mr. Blanche’s Department of Justice is likely violating the law by keeping key parts of the Jeffrey Epstein files blacked out. His shameful handling of these records proves he is unfit to lead our justice system for three reasons: - He is blocking the truth from the public: Mr. Blanche is actively hiding names, email records, and a draft criminal indictment, ignoring federal transparency laws meant to bring the full truth to light. - He gave special treatment to a convicted abuser: Mr. Blanche personally conducted a secretive, nine-hour interview with Ghislaine Maxwell while she was begging for a presidential pardon. Right after that meeting, she was handed an unprecedented transfer to a soft, minimum-security prison camp.  - He is failing the victims: Advocates for Epstein's victims have stated that Mr. Blanche’s office refused to meet with them directly, choosing political secrecy and protecting powerful elites over justice for survivors. An Attorney General must stand with victims, follow the law, and answer to the American people—not their former clients. Please stand up for transparency and vote NO on Todd Blanche.
