Save the Affordable Care Act Subsidies

To: Sen. Hickenlooper, Sen. Bennet

From: A verified voter in Lakewood, CO

November 24

As you read, please recall your oath to serve and defend the U.S. Constitution, protecting the rights of all Americans, not just those in your state. Today our nation faces a severe healthcare crisis. Rising insurance premiums, soaring costs from providers and hospitals, higher deductibles, and outrageous drug prices burden millions of Americans. Families are making heart-wrenching choices: • Sacrificing food, shelter, or heat to afford life-saving medications. • Deciding whether to pursue vital cancer treatments. • Caring for children with severe or chronic health conditions. • Going without health insurance coverage altogether. These choices are unacceptable in a prosperous country like ours. The Senate must act now to reduce this burden. We strongly urge you to extend ACA subsidies through at least 2028 to ensure every American has access to healthcare. Doing anything less risks lives, harms our economy, and affects all Americans, not just those covered by the ACA. Your vote to extend ACA subsidies is a vote for national health. Vote YES to extend the subsidies through 2028. Everyone must have access to necessary health care without sacrificing other basic needs. Together, let's build a healthier future.
