I am writing to you today because I want to oppose S. 128; this bill seeks to amend The National Voter Registration Act of 1993; (SAVE) Act. It requires additional evidence of United States citizenship in order for a citizen to vote in elections for Federal Office. I believe these barriers are unnecessary because there are many eligible Americans who will be denied the right to vote because they do not have the immediate access to a birth certificate that matches their legal name and a passport.
