An Open Letter

To: Sen. Hickenlooper, Sen. Bennet

From: A verified voter in Aurora, CO

March 16

Dear Senators, Please vote against the SAVE Act and pull as many other senators with you as you can. If passed, the restrictive voting requirements could disenfranchise me as a woman who changed her name upon marriage. This will dramatically reduce the number of votes available to reelect you or to elect you to a different office in the future. Incidentally, MAGA senators who subscribe to the notion that women's suffrage was a mistake need to consider that the SAVE Act may reduce to near zero the number of American women who do take their husband's name upon their future marriage. They will find this undesirable. Please preserve my right to vote in Federal elections.
