I’m writing to express my strong opposition to The Big Beautiful Bill, both for its content and the process used to pass it.
Pushing a bill through in the middle of the night while Americans sleep is profoundly undemocratic. Major legislation deserves transparency, debate, and public input — not secretive, rushed votes in the dark.
Even worse are the devastating cuts to Medicare, Medicaid, SNAP, and other critical programs. These services are vital for seniors, families, and low-income Americans. Gutting them to fund more tax breaks for the wealthy is unacceptable and cruel.
This bill sacrifices the well-being of millions so the richest 1% can benefit. It does not reflect the values or priorities of most Kentuckians or Americans.
I urge you to reject this approach — both in substance and in process. Stop trading away basic human needs for the sake of tax cuts. Stand up for your constituents.
