NO to a taxpayer-funded White House ballroom

To: Sen. Cornyn, Rep. Van Duyne, Sen. Cruz

From: A constituent in Dallas, TX

May 13

It is unconscionable this Republican administration is considering spending a dime on a White House ballroom, much less $1billion+ public tax dollars. this after the perfectly functional White House was intentionally and illegally destroyed. Americans are feeling a financial pinch. Food is more expensive. Gas prices continue to rise. Healthcare is getting harder to afford. Such an expenditure of public funds is a slap in the face for struggling Americans. Such fiscal irresponsibility cannot continue, especially after numerous ill-advised and unneeded fiscal self-owns, such as US tariffs and a war with Iran. My wife and I urge you to demand an immediate stop this reckless and unnecessary spending and force transparency in all government expenditures.
