Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth

To: Sen. Cruz, Sen. Cornyn

From: A constituent in Conroe, TX

April 21, 2025

I am writing to express my deep concern regarding recent reports involving Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth. Allegedly, he was involved in a second Signal Chat that included discussions about battle plans, and these conversations reportedly involved his wife, brother, and a friend. Furthermore, it has been reported that his aides warned him not to use a Signal Chat for sharing sensitive information, yet he chose to ignore these warnings and proceed with the communication. If these reports are accurate, such actions could represent a serious breach of national security and a breach of public trust. Given the sensitive nature of his position, I believe that these alleged indiscretions warrant immediate investigation and, if proven true, necessitate his removal from office to ensure the integrity and security of our defense operations. As a constituent, I urge you to prioritize transparency and accountability in this matter. Our national security depends on the trustworthiness and professionalism of those in leadership roles. Thank you for your attention to this critical issue. I look forward to your response and any actions you may take to address this situation.
