An Open Letter

To: Gov. Hochul

From: A constituent in Rochester, NY

October 13

I am writing in the hopes that you are taking the bill that Senator Gonzalez wrote into consideration: the Responsible Data Center Development Act. While I love the bill that you put into effect, it only banned the really big data centers, and not the small to medium ones. That size data centers are vampires too, stealing our water and electricity. I know there's one going into Brooklyn, NY (I live in Rochester but care about all NYers) which will cause issues for them, and the city already went without power over the summer. A data center will be so bad for them. I'm praying you'll take your plan a step forward in the very near future. Thanks!
