Fight like Mitch in 2009. I’m writing because I want to see stronger leadership from Senate Democrats in this critical moment. The stakes for our democracy couldn’t be higher, and I’m frustrated by what feels like a lack of urgency and willingness to fight. Mitch McConnell had no problem using every Senate rule and procedural tool at his disposal in 2009 to block progress—Democrats should be just as aggressive in defending democracy and delivering for the people who elected them. I urge you to push Senator Schumer to take a stronger, more strategic approach. Thanks for your time. I hope to see bold action.
