Support for expunging marijuana convictions

Thank you for the recent action of pardoning more than 15,000 people who were convicted for low-level marijuana possession in Nevada. I am proud to hear my government has taken steps toward restoring rights of people who were irrationally convicted of marijuana possession, something which is now legal, and hadn’t yet been corrected for their records. This is an important action to reducing harm to our communities caused by mass incarceration and I look forward to further actions your and our state will take to restoring rights and eliminating institutional brutality.
