I am writing today to ask you to fight for the United States Postal Service. The efforts of Postmaster General Louis DeJoy-whose massive conflict of interest in business that compete with USPS-has cut capacity and instituted policies that are creating dangerous backlogs of mail.
This is dangerous, not only because the intentional mismanagement of a national service enshrined in the constitution threatens its existence, but also because thousands of small businesses across the country depend on the mail to function. We need to be able to continue to rely on mail service that is federally regulated and not subject to the greed of any particular company.
Moreover, the dependability and efficiency of the mail will be key to allowing voters to safely cast ballots during ongoing pandemic conditions.
Please do your job and represent the people you have been elected to serve, and not the craven interests of large corporations or political parties.
