Greetings. I am a voting constituent in rural west Texas.
Sigh. Watching Gov. Cuomo's daily coronavirus briefing. I think we've all forgotten what a real briefing, true leadership, and coherent language sounds like. There is no partisanship, no deflecting, no blaming, just a cogent explanation, a clear examination of needs, with a positive plan of action.
Watching this kind of leadership in action is uplifting, hopeful, and makes me want to be a better citizen.
This is after watching the Senate hearing with our health officials, which in itself was mostly frank, reality-based, and non-partisan. The dawning realization is that we need to not be red or blue, but red, white, and blue. Americans all. This hearing as well, was hopeful.
(Except Rand Paul, who like most Libertarians, I consider to be obnoxious and selfish, whose main goal is to always be right. And to hell with everyone else.)
But what do we get from our President? A continuing crisis of confidence in his irrelevant quest to judge his response against other countries, usually in the false comparison of testing numbers. He is anti-leadership. Or worse yet, leadership by conspiracy theory.
For your consideration:
âWhen will they open a Cold Case on the Psycho Joe Scarborough matter in Florida. Did he get away with murder? Some people think so,â Trump wrote. âWhy did he leave Congress so quietly and quickly? Isnât it obvious? Whatâs happening now? A total nut job!â
I totally agree with his last line, but in a different context of course.
