Stop the extralegal kidnappings in Portland

You must use your legislative power and political clout to stop the unidentified federal police who are using extralegal kidnapping to stop Constitutionally protected protests in Portland, Oregon. Fifteen mayors of major US cities have sent a letter to US federal law enforcement officials demanding a stop to the sending of federal forces to cities and the removal of federal officers from Portland, Oregon. In their letter, the mayors say that the federal officers are conducting law enforcement activity with no consultation with local police in tactics they likened to “authoritarian regimes” not in the US. The mayors of Seattle, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Washington DC and other cities signed the letter addressed to the attorney general, William Barr, and the Department of Homeland Security acting secretary, Chad Wolf. Because President Trump's federal judge appointees are more motivated by politics than by justice, the Judicial Branch is failing Americans just as the Executive Branch is. You, the Legislative Branch of our government, are our last hope of preserving the American way of life. You must use your power to save Portland from this dystopian autocratic future they are trapped in.
