What is happening in Wisconsin right now isn't just voter suppression; it's politicide. By failing to extend the election, by failing to properly support absentee balloting, Wisconsin and the United States' Supreme Court are engaged in a deliberate attempt to kill Milwaukee voters.
That may seem like harsh language but it's not. Telling voters that they should turn out in person to vote in the middle of a pandemic is reckless. Refusing to support other means of voting -- means that don't put their lives at risk -- is willful negligence. Refusing to even delay the election to accommodate these risks is tantamount to murder. Americans will die as a result of this decision and their blood will be on the Wisconsin GOP's and the Supreme Court's hands.
The question is, will it be on yours too?
The next (and likely final) corona-virus stimulus legislation is on its way through Congress. If you do not act *now* to ensure that these bills contain iron-clad provisions ensuring that every American has the right to vote safely from their homes then come November, two things will happen. Donald Trump will be re-elected to the Presidency and a lot of Americans will die. They'll die because they turned out to vote. Because they believed in Democracy. And because you failed them. Don't fail them. Demand that the November election be free, fair, and hygienic. Demand no-excuse-absentee or national vote by mail or some other system which protects Americans AND their right to vote.
