Demand Safe Schools

I feel strongly that the state of Texas must keep students and workers out of the campus COVID-19 petri dish until it’s safe. The governor must set policies to control the virus and stop its spread so students can return to the classroom safely. We cannot reopen schools in-person for students or staff until the scientific data supports it. Our schools need the state to fully fund virtual learning for the duration of the pandemic with no strings attached. This is not the time for standardized testing. TEA must suspend STAAR and redirect all STAAR funding to school equity and safety necessary in this pandemic. Thank you for your time.
