Support/Vote YES on H.R. 3541

Today I take pen in hand to write and urge support for H.R. 3541, the Coastal Climate Preparedness Act. Since California has a long coastline, and San Francisco Bay is close to our doorstep, more must be done to support local efforts to enable more complete planning for mitigation efforts up and down the state. New projected flood maps show chunks of our tech industry developments will feel the intrusive effects of the ocean, to say nothing of the coastal cities that will suffer coastal erosion, more severe storms, and property loss. While California is better positioned and funded to make professional plans, it has been a patchwork to date. A top-down approach, at least as far as money is concerned, is warranted. Please support H.R. 3541 for all our coasts, deltas, and riverine communities. Thank you.
