Police and the Press

I live in Portland Oregon. Cory Elia. Leslie McLarn. Tuck Woodstock. All three were assaulted and/or arrested by the PPD today while doing their jobs. They are reporters. They clearly identified themselves as press. They have been covering the protests for a month. And tonight, the press was attacked. I’m not one for bold, sweeping statements, but it’s hard right now to avoid wondering if freedom of the press still exists in Portland, Oregon. Are the police acting on directives from the City Council? And if not, who is actually in charge here? Our city is under attack by our police force. Do something.
