Make Juneteenth a Federal holiday

I am writing today to ask for your support of making Juneteenth a national holiday. While there is an incredible amount of work to be done to create the kind of society in which we are all proud and equal, a symbolic gesture such as acknowledging the emancipation of slaves with an official Federal holiday would be a good first step. I urge you to move this legislation forward. Thank you.
