Resistbot Petition: Re saving USPS

An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Re saving USPS

Re the USPS Governing Board William Zollers Donald Moak Roman Martinez Ron Bloom John Barger Robert Duncan The President of the United States is trying to destroy the work of the United States Post Office by such egregious and outrageous acts as removing mail sorting machines from post office facilities, shutting facilities over the weekend, and cutting pay to Post Office workers. He and the current political appointees at USPS are hoping to make it impossible for people to vote by mail in the upcoming November election. It is outrageous to use the Post Office, or any federal agency, as a political tool or weapon. It is especially monstrous to use the Post Office, which delivers all mail, delivers vital prescription drugs, delivers checks to people who are in desperate need, and carries over 70 percent of America’s print communications. Please work with your fellow representatives to push the governors to end this despicable practice. See that Postmaster General Robert DeJoy returns all necessary equipment to local post office branches. See that the necessary monies are in place to pay the people who sort and deliver our mail. And do all this speedily, so that our democracy may truly function
